People do that with human friends, at least ones you meet irl, your brain is constantly subconsciously judging everyone around you in your vision and hearing. There will be some visual traits of people that a given person will subconsciously shy away from and that’s before we even get into people that would be considered shallow or racist.
It's true, and even if they do engage, perceived charisma will make people believe you more and find you more intelligent. But at least it's subconscious.
