I don't know how to feel. Feel sorry for the kid for not thinking he deserves this stuff. On the other hand fuck that. A loooot of people including myself would have loved things handed to them like this.
The fact that he values himself so lowly is pretty depressing. You're the motherfucking valedictorian of an entire college, you're obviously special and aren't the piece of shit you think you are. Getting rewards for your hard work isn't a crime. Someone needs to tell him that.
Humans amaze me. No matter how good some people have it they manage not to be happy. Then some people have next to nothing, but they're happy...
This guy is so smart he can make 55k while going to collage, after collage he'll be able to get a good job and buy his dad a car as a thank you for everything. Or even a house.
Some people make friends more easily than others. And it could be he has a lot of people that are friendly to him, but just not close enough to invite to his party.
This is stupid. His parents obviously make a lot of money (he even said it in the post) why would you feel the need to pay your rich parents back for giving you gifts? They have lots of money, they want to spend it on their kid for being good. Especially if you could consider them earned by being a good student and kid overall.
Ya theres a lot of kids with entitlement issues, but imo a dis-entitlement issue is just as bad
Um not ungrateful, just doesn't see the point. For him, making his parents happy is enough and he feels like he doesn't deserve all the stuff they are giving him. It still sucks because he totally deserves it, but he isn't ungrateful
You should have just told your dad that you didn't want his gifts. It's so ungrateful of you to go behind his back like that. Some people have to buy their own gaming consoles and have to buy their own cars. Oh you got a $150k car for graduation? I was lucky enough my mom gave me her 10 year old Buick after I got out of HS, and I'm still more grateful to her than you are to your parents. Seriously, fuck you.
Your biggest problem is that you have no worries at all and feel unworthy of these presents? Donate it to someone who needs it! Your dad obviously doesn't need it
There are people who would kill for chances like his, I don't just mean the presents. I mean amazing exam results ect. And the only thing he can say is 'I don't give a shit' then complain that his insanely rich father buys him gifts. You all feel sorry for him? Because he 'doesn't feel worthy' of these gifts'? He's been given life on a plate but instead of making the most of it he does nothing but bitch about how tough it is to receive a $150k car?!?!
When you grow up poor as shit, this stuff pisses you off.
