Having lived in an apartment owned by a grade-A asshole landlord who refused to fix moldy walls which were causing us health problems but still withholds our deposit because the bathtub was a little dirty, which wasn't even because of anything we did but because of rusty piping in the building which she also refuses to fix, I wouldn't even be surprised if this was real.
