No, it's not that. Get over yourselves. White Day is celebrated in Japan and other Asian countries on March 14th (a month after Valentine's). Its observance involves giving return gifts to those who gave you gifts on Valentine's Day. It started in the 30s but didn't really catch on until the 70s. Initially the gifts were indeed white (white chocolates, or accessories). But nowadays they needn't be.

So if you gave someone a Valentine's gift and they snubbed you, you can demand a present on March 14? *retrieves list as long as a CVS receipt* I shall be expecting a large delivery truck today.
