Christian core bands have honestly kept the core scene alive

Definitely. Most other bands are just screaming nonsense with some completely random guitar riffs, but in Christian metal core the screams and singing carry actual meaning and sound amazing at the same time

I mean... let's not talk down on other core bands people may be into. They do tend to have meaning but just not in the same way as Christian core. Christian core tends to be uplifting and motivational in the traditional "i will rise above my personal demons" whereas regular core tends to be "fuck any and all athority. I am my own authority." There's some overlap but that's generally been my observation.

Oh yeah I was thinking of deathcore that time, but then again it has that name for a reason. You're right though, can't claim a preference to be better than another.
