In the beginning maybe, but not after Stalingrad.
And after the Americans joined, it was clear it wouldn't have ended well for the Nazis. Even the Italians had abandoned the axis. Yeah, they had no chance.
Honestly, the Italians *are* the reason the Nazis could not win. Specifically, Operation Barbarossa. Mussolini screwed up his takeover of Greece so bad Hitler had to bail him out. That delayed the Wermacht’s conquest of the USSR, which should have been begun in the summer and was delayed to the winter (and history has numerous examples of why you don’t fight the russkies in the snow, unless you’re Finnish). Then, the protracted fighting in the Eastern Front drained his resources for Africa and his “Fortress Europe”, leaving several incomplete gaps that the Allies exploited, first in Africa over years, then in Normandy and beyond in 6/6/1944 with Operation Overlord.
TL;DR: Mussolini lost the war for the Nazis.
Oh yeah, Greece fucked them up real good. Honestly Germany was spread too thin and fighting wars on multiple fronts. There was no chnace. And the deck was beginning to be stacked on with every event.
Early on it wasn't about "winning". Hitler knew as soon as lend lease started that he was done. The goal was to force a WW1 style stalemate and force Europe to tolerate Nazi existence.
For both Japan and Germany. Pearl Harbor was supposed to delay US involvement long enough to give Japan a good bargaining position in the Pacific, but the imperial army screwed that up by being dicks to all the people they ‘liberated’

Damn that’s impressive
