All the paintings I've seen attributed to him are great. Apparently he was terrible at painting people emotionally, he was "too clinical" in their depiction.

The perspective on a lot of his paintings aren't consistent. One window might be misaligned, or the perspective is completely different than the rest. Details sort of pop out to you that there is no consistent design to how things are placed. Not enough to stand out at a glance, and lead you into the conclusion it isn't all that bad, but further inspection shows disconnect. A lot of his work might be better as an architects render than as art.
