Not really, I just got here. And I know this isn't a personal/lifestyle blog. Nonetheless, I believe I should share my feelings, before I stop feeling them. And my feelings are... mixed. I don't know how to feel. Maybe I need more time.

As for I chose this particular landmark for my pic. Well, it's because it was pretty close by. And because it also kinda represents how I feel. Berlin is strange to me, it feels like it's in between two worlds. On the one hand, it is technically a metropolis, right? Very populous, very modern. But on the other, it has elements that feel rather... antiquated. I know every city has that, but the contrast feels more pronounced here somehow.
Another reason I chose it is because I found it a bit funny that there's a McDonald's right behind. And yes, it's on the former American side.
Those are pretty interesting remarks, and I like knowing why a photo was taken!
It also feels funny that it's in front of a souvenir shop, as if the only meaning and way to remember war was mercantilism.
Yeah, there was also a store that sells fragments of the Berlin Wall. But to be fair, there's also I think three museums nearby. Two for Checkpoint Charlie itself, and the other one is a Jewish museum. There's also a marking of where the Wall used to be, and a lot of information plaques in both German and English.
