Eventually, he was rescued and became a knight of Crusch Karsten (a candidate to become the next king).
He may look playful, and he is, but just like any cat he can turn on you in a second and he isn't above a little cruelty if it suits his purpose. Thankfully though, his speciality is healing and he's fiercely loyal to the person who saved him.
And remember, if you don't want Emilia, you can always have him.
