Politically savvy dog

Once I did an experiment and stole a kebble from my cat, to see if the "property is theft, this is our plate" worked both ways. She did move to the side to let me do it, but looked at me with incomprehension -can't blame her, my Dad did too-. They stink so I just pretended to eat it, but it seems she would let me if needed. She wouldn't let others though.
