when i lived in the US, my boss invited me to join his team in their pool league. Sure, I hadn't literally played in like 5 years, why not?
I didn't break, no balls sunk, so there was 15 balls on the table, my choice, went to make an easy corner shot. Missed, the white ricocheted and potted the black. Game Over.

I don't know about saying how long it's been since I last played, but you'd definitely get me to tell you when in my life really played those games. To be honest even at games I was really good at if I played a one off game now I'd probably lose. All of those games take skills that don't stay with you without practice. That being said if I had the chance to play them against other fairly talented people I'd definitely make it a part of my regular schedule.
