Not only are they not welcome at CPAC22, Matt Schlapp says PBS should be defunded for introducing an asian-american character to Sesame Street. Such snowflakes.
I always kinds figured that Muppets didn't have things like races, or sexualities. Granted, I was more of a Magic School Bus kid, but still. Seems kinda racist.
There's no races in the Magic School Bus? Are you sure about that? And as to the Muppets/Sesame Street: what about Miss Piggy and Kermit? And what about Roosevelt Franklin? Guy's been with them since some 50 years. And what about all the white characters and actors in the Muppet Show and Sesame Street? Buddy, you're totally loosing your shit...
No, I didn't say that there's no races in MSB.
What I DID say is that I was never a big fan of Muppets, which I thought referred to all the puppet type shows. I don't know Miss Piggy's race, or Kermit's. I thought they were puppets inspired by a pig and a frog. I don't know anything about Roosevelt Franklin either. I was never big on Muppets, I was more of a Magic School Bus kid.

There's a whole lot of sexual tension between Miss Piggy and Kermit and Franklin Roosevelt is an explictely black character on Sesame Street.
If there are races in MSB, why isn't that kinda racist?
Because animation is a lot easier to make less caricaturistic than puppets. Might just be my stylistic tastes coming through, but that's all I'm saying.
