He he he .. this kind of thing was one of my favourite oscillator applications in analogue electronics back in my teens. You'd set up an oscillator that made a beep with an unstable circuit so the frequency changed a little every time, then another slightly random oscillator to trigger it at intervals of about thirty minutes to an hour. There is nothing so annoying as a random beep that you don't what's making it. I've seen people unplug everything electric and change the smoke detector batteries several times trying to get rid of it.
