Lol. A bit. In the USA this is generally called “Yoni Massage” as most of these sorts of new agey wellness things like to play off sandskrit or mysticism and ancient practices of far off lands. That isn’t to say there aren’t legitimate practices in other cultures or such- just to say that MOST of the time when one pays for such things and they’re essentially a “branded name,” what you are getting is not an authentic culture practice but some marketing and a similar concept. That said- the legality or its classification as prostitution or even sex work are…. ambiguous. Of course sex therapists and various services are or aren’t legal with their own criteria in different places. In the USA, there is very little legal acceptance of such concepts like “sex surrogates” in the United States.
So while getting a “rub tug” aka “happy ending massage” is 100% illegal for men in most all the USA and something that many states routinely conduct stings and large operations as well as surveillance and inspection of massage parlors, bath houses, and internet “punter sites” to catch, “Yoni” is in much the same boat as sex surrogacy. There is no explicit federal law and no state laws I am aware of which specifically name it a crime. Sex surrogacy and Yoni massage are relatively new concepts that aren’t really completely mainstream in the US and are a bit obscure still. The costs and culture issues with the demographics involved also generally mean they aren’t “on the radar” as huge issues for society. So there isn’t much legal precedent or any I am aware of to really define where and how US law would come down on the matter if it came to court.
The current climate of gender politics also probably makes it a topic that many politicians in populous areas aren’t keen to make a platform of. Asides a sort of taboo on “vagina talk,” the perception of limiting female anatomical autonomy and sexual repression aren’t good colors to wear in more liberal districts. Currently most US nationally recognized and accredited mental and physical health organizations aren’t super eager to take a stance either. When it comes to Yoni and sexual surrogacy mental health organizations aren’t really endorsing or accrediting practitioners even if some are lobbying or advocating for acceptance of enhancing tools to discuss and treat sexual related issues. With professional masseurs and their organizations- there is often a stigma around their work and a conflation to sex work they tend to be very sensitive about. The aforementioned “happy ending massages” are something “respectable” massage professionals tend to decry and do everything they can to…
.. distance themselves from. So they aren’t super eager to jump on “Yoni” either- since the nuance between that and a “happy ending massage” is very subtle and the average Joe and Jane American tend to be bad at grasping subtle. So interestingly- and it depends where you live- you might be able to jump online right now and book a Yoni massage. Will the cops come through the door just as your energies are aligning or whatever…? Well…. Probably not..? But technically there isn’t anything stopping them if a business is advertising they’ll touch your junk for money..? But then again as I said before- MOST places the cops and politicians probably have bigger fish to fry or don’t want to deal with opening that can of worms. You’re probably more at danger in a “Fox News” kinda state where your politicians get electing by trolling and are looking to piss people off so they can play to their base when they clap back against all the “feminists and libtards” that such a move would rile up.
But who knows. Who even knows. Sex laws around the globe can be nuts. In Japan it isn’t “prostitution” if P doesn’t go in V. So $100 for anal is just business but $100 for classic missionary is prostitution. I call that: “Catholic rules sex.”
But US sex laws are just.. unfathomable and come from federal and state and county and local.
Some places you can’t pay to see “strippers.” Other places female “strippers” are women without tops but wearing bottoms, and if the bottoms come off it’s a crime. Other places if they serve alcohol it’s topless only but if no alcohol is served at the club it’s full nude. Some places you can get “lap dances” where the stripper sits on you and others they legally have to be separated from you by a partition etc.
but that’s where it gets really weird. So… paying someone to touch your penis for sexual reasons would be a crime. Happy ending massage etc. but… where strippers are legal and lap dances are legal the strippers can “grind” against your pelvis
As the kids used to call it: “dry hump you.”
If they were to place their hand in your pants and rub- that’s a crime. If they use their bottom or pelvis… it’s… legal..? So then we have to ask- why wouldn’t it be legal to massage genitals if you wore gloves then… since you aren’t touching skin to skin…? I mean… I could make a laundry list and that doesn’t even include all the weird outdated sex laws that were never overturned and rarely get prosecuted (like some US jurisdictions where it is illegal to perform or revive oral sex.. at all. Like- even in your own home by your spouse…)
So that’s probably a big part of why no one is really.. forgive the pun… touching the issue seriously. Because there’s just no telling what way the whole thing would go.

Reminds me of that bad old joke: what do strippers and cats have in common? They love to sit on your lap but get mad if you try to touch them.
