90% of gun owners in Texas aren't AR15 toting nut jobs. They are farmers, ranchers and hunters. The former, have guns to keep what they have; the latter, to get what they need or want. All respect that fence... the property line. Trespass in the neighbors field, we'll got through the gate and hold gun on you until they or cops show up; because we have a key too.. and my field may be next. Roll up in a tank or APC, and we'll prove what Ukraine said, farm equipment is just civilian war machines. lest you forget, WE are the ones not only buying up army surplus, but building and training Army kids on it (Ft. Hood); THIS is our homeland... and we are rednecks.. You DO not know these people like I do. If thirty 20 year old Russian kids in uniform roll up with 50 Latin America conscripts... i have one of my guys on a dozer dig one long hole in a field. Because civilians don't abide Geneva Convention, and taking guns of dead Commies in my state, means free guns. In this economy... easy

Then there are the 10 % who ARE AR15 toting nut jobs... and we'll try to keep them in check as long as possible... but they're out her scoping in long arms at 1000 yards every weekend in 2 inch groupings. $200 in ammo to shoot steel targets every weekend with 11 different guns which they sell ($1800 each) to friends and friends of friends (if interested, I know a guy, 3 actually). Pay homeless guys for buckets of lead wheel weights to cast into bullets. Police our own brass. TEXAS is not a state to invade, it's a wannabe its own country again so make us a deal and we may stay out of your fight with California and new york.
