That story never sat well with me. It's like;
-Well, Moses buggered off up the mountain so I guess we'll just stop worshipping the god we've been praying to for generations and make a new one. I'm thinking we should make it a farm animal on account of this here desert.
I mean- I feel like this story should make the most sense to people alive in the current generation who have spent any time on the internet. What more relatable and intuitive thing is there than seeing a board or most of the net seemingly obsessed- perhaps even to the point of violent devotion- to some character or template or idea- and then you don’t log on for 7-60 days and almost all mention of it has vanished, many maybe have even forgotten it or if they see it will mock how out of touch and behind the poster is- and in place of what was once the most important and venerated meme or symbol is now something new?
