y’know what, if they’re gonna get that pissy about phone batteries, then maybe they weren’t friends worth having to begin with. and this as a guy with an iphone.
I would agree it is a silly thing to get upset about, but kids have a tendency to take things like that in more personal or serious ways. Though I would say judging off the genera language and attitude of the post, it might not be some sort of battery jealousy that cost this person their friends so much is perhaps they were as boastful and aggressive. Like a bus full of kids who didn’t really care about the brand of phone- quite possibly just used whatever their parents gave them, and then this one kid is like “ha ha. See? You should have an android! Ha ha..” and even if they all had the same type of phone, if you have battery and others don’t they might ask to share your device, maybe watch a movie with your seat mate or take turns on a game or play a multiplayer player game like heads up or something. So I mean… all I can say is the tone of the post has the poster seeming an abrasive sort who’s popularity issues may come less from their phone type and more from their attitude or…
I mean… It’s all rather dumb. Somewhat dubious, but most of all… the ace in the hole here is a spare battery? What does that have to do with iPhones and androids? You can get cases with spare batteries and external battery packs that last days or weeks for less than a screen protector.
Why would anyone care if their phone battery is replaceable? “I don’t want to carry a battery pack around in my backpack…” yeah. Because a phone battery in your wallet is much more convenient? It is just a better user experience to have to shit down your device, swap batteries, and keep going than… to plug in a battery pack, never have to stop using the device, and have it keep running and even gain charge while using it? The issue there wouldn’t be who had what phone but who brought a spare battery. Also, you can use a battery pack on basically any type of phone, often multiple phones at once, and if you get a new phone you aren’t stuck with spare batteries you probably can’t use….
so that whole replaceable battery point is a bit moot unless maybe you’re like… a warehouse or runway worker using an android device or something?
So I mean… cool story bro.
