Kyshtym, Windscale/Sellafield, Simi Valley, Lucens, Rocky Flats, 2 x Leningrad, Belojarsk, Three Mile Island, 2 x Chernobyl, Tokaimura, Fukushima... and those are just the civilian incidents above INES 4 and still no site on the whole planet to store nuclear waste safely on geologicaly timescales. Yep, absolutely safe my ass.

You're right, and the sun will fizzle out in ~5 billion years! Better not go for solar energy since it's obviously doomed.

I find it ridiculous to talk about the long time storage not being safe. OK, let's do like Germany abolish Nuclear and go back to fossil fuels. Guess what, there won't be any humanity to save from nuclear waste in 1000 years.
