No, they did not issue the T-shirt. They did not issue any of the related merch. The zoo head and locals did support the bear, citing the inherently unsafe nature of bears - and of course getting within reach of a bear in the enclosure was not easy. Both individuals seems to have suffered relatively minor injuries, really, which probably helped both with the local and wider reaction.

Why should they punish the bear? They were just acting like an undomesticated animal, which is exactly what they are.

The bear should not be punished for being a bear. Especially since he is forced to live in that place and exposed to people
