Broken mirrors? The person who went there was probably mentally I'll and was convinced his house was posed by demons. Mirrors can act as gateways for demonic figures, so he probably broke them all in attempt to get rid of them. Also explains the pitchfork in the windshield, any reflection can be considered a demonic portal. (Ah......)
