I bet this is in the OBX! We go to Nags Head in North Carolina every summer and the wild horses will come out of the dunes and just hang out with you. I need to post a picture

Why would wild horses go to the beach... They cant drink the water, and they dont eat sand ._. And can they be called wild if they are not afraid of us ?

Yes, they are still wild if they are not afraid of humans, think about all of the animals like coyotes that aren't afraid and are considered wild. Horses will often go to water (salt and fresh) for the same reasons we do - to cool off!
