When my mother got into a horrendous car accident, she had bars on her windows in New York City so she could have her windows open as an invalid without getting robbed or something worse. A black cat would slip in everyday at about 7 am and bring her bits of rodents or birds. This went on for about 2 years as my mom was slowly making progress in her physical therapy. When she was finally finished and could function normally again, she was packing everything getting ready to move, but she couldn't forget about the companion that had kept her company and had tried to care for her daily even though they had never before that time met. The cat didn't show up the last two days and she was about to give up hope when she was going to leave for the last time. Then, the cat showed up. It was an all black cat my mother decided to name Isis. She had been with my mother since that time, and that was before I was even born. Isis passed away last year of stomach cancer. Cats sure do love us.
Isis was also with us in 4 different states and over 12 different houses. She was an indoor and outdoor cat but never tried to run away and even put up with riding in cars for hours when we'd move.
Thank you<3 we really miss her. She was my childhood best friend. When kids would bully me I would I straight home and just cry and hug her. She was one of those pets that just let you squeeze and hold them.
Once my cat caught a mouse when she was a kitten and put it in front of the dog's food bowl. And she meowed until my brother found it. Not only did she bring him food, she also had the dinner plate ready.
The first time our cat caught an animal it was a bird. She caught it mid air then came inside with it still alive. She just looked at me with pride til the bird freaked out. She let it free INSIDE the house.
Well I guess one of my cats get hungry because he just eats them......
