Yeah, RIGHT. With murder, torture, mind-control, racism, classism, homophobia, prejudice in general, slavery, and not to mention all the very mature concepts delt with in the book, it's DEFINITELY a children's book. Harry Potter deals with things a lot of adults can't grasp and ideas that a lot of "adult books" don't mention or talk about. Just because it's a series set in a magical, fantasy world with young protagonists doesn't mean it's a children's book series.
I partially agree with you, but I think pre teens can at least read the first three. The rest get really dark, I remember my mom made me wait to read them until a couple years ago.
Man, I read all of them when I was six or seven. But I didn't properly understand a lot of it and my understanding of the books and their various very dark themes have come into light the older I've gotten. It's pretty horrifying when you think about it.
He's probably seen the first 3 movies. when I first started reading them I started with number 2 because I was a impatient child who wasn't willing to wait for the second movie so my mom told me the books existed. It took a couple years before I read book 1
Yeah, I noticed that too. His jawline and cheekbones are sharper and more pronounced in these photos than in others I've seen. I'm guessing it's because of the heavy lighting and probably some makeup.
There is a quote from the person who wrote a wrinkle in time that said something along the lines of if a book is too hard for adults the write it for children
Those books are literally Post High School reading level where I am from. I hardly see any kids reading them cause they are too difficult to read and comprehend for children.
