I'm crying and I find this very relatable. I'm not homosexual, but I have nothing against anyone who is. I relate to the bullying, it happens everyday, but like ashley no one understands it. I think the toilet part is accurate, the teachers do nothing at all because they refuse to believe what's going on, and in my case believe the bullies instead of the victim. I often cut, and although it is yet to do any harm as bad as in the film, I hate to think what it could do. The worst part is that you don't have any control, at some point the hate takes over and controls you more than you can cope and it does things to you like cutting that you don't want to do. I'm not telling you my life story, the point I'm trying to make is that no one is safe from it, and there will always be something someone will take to use against you.I want everyone who watched the film or who reads this to know what's going on, it could help someone before they get to the stage where nothing can.
I've wondered about this countless times before. That is, what if heterosexuals were the ones who were "queer" and "an abomination" as opposed to the homosexuals? I'm glad someone made a video like this. I hope that heterosexual, homophobic people will see it and will try and put themselves in Ashley's place and know that in a universe with a slightly different train of thought, they'd all be bullied and tortured mercilessly because of others' ignorance. I hope that they would also be able to see a part of themselves in the bullies and that they would stop.
Well, I am American and while it isn't this bad where I'm from (in fact, at my school, we always stand up against the homophobes), but I'm sure it is in other places. I know that we're a lot more accepting of homosexuals, bisexuals, transgenders, etc. than we were just a few years ago, but there's still some awful people out there.
I live in a very small town with radical Christian views. I have nothing against it at all, you are who you are. We have a girl who recently became transgender and got a girlfriend. They walk down hallway like any other couple, holding hands and such, and the faces they get are awful. As soon as they walk by people whisper and say it's disgusting and they should stop. We have a few gay kids too and they get some hate every now and then too, but not as bad as those two.
The people should just say "What?! You don't like who I am?! Well, deal with it because there isn't anything you can do about it! So, get that look off your face and act mature! If you don't like this, then that's tough!"
It might be a bit hypocrites to say "act mature" since a lot of people would consider that immature. I mean, I agree wholeheartedly that they should stand up for themselves, but not unprovoked. Who knows? Maybe that person is thinking about weird fetishes and that's why they have a weird look on their face. In that case, you would be in the wrong and you would probably make an ass of yourself. However, if someone comes up to them and starts giving them crap, then they should definitely give them a serving of good, ol' logic to show the homophobes why their arguments are bull.
To clarify with any of you who didn't understand, this video is supposed to be opposite world so in actuality the pope did not say that all homosexuals are going to hell he ( and all other Catholics) believe the opposite
I just cried a river, that was so deep. This has really just opened my eyes to what it's like for these kids, I mean you know they're being bullied. But until you put yourself in there shows you can never understand their pain. I just…I'm speechless.
The world need to open their eyes and see what's going on around them
Wait, someone clear this up for me please. Did she die in the end?? It seemed like she cut herself, but didn't do anything life-threatening.
Touching video, btw. It really made me stop and think.
I cry every time I see this. It really triggers thoughts in me, because I am bisexual and people bully me for more than just that. It's a horrible thing, and the point is that people are driven to suicide by shit like this. So be kind to everyone you meet, because everyone is fighting an unknown battle.
This is only a must watch if you feel like crying for the next 3 days and this is one of the most sad and disturbing things I have ever watched!!!! I understand that it's to stop bullying but it was still a freaking messed up idea to make this!!!!!!!!!
I understand that but I still don't think that someone can die that fast from cutting their wrists and the movie definitely shouldn't have ended with her dying but maybe it could've ended with her going to the hospital and standing up to the bullies after she was healed and got back with that boy that she liked
If you cut deep enough and hit a main artery or vein, you could definitely die from blood loss and there was a LOT of blood in that bathtub. Anyways, life sucks. There's not always gonna be happy endings. Besides, who says she died? It never specified that, it was just left open ended.
Standing up to the bullies wouldn't help anyways. They're not going to change their minds. Also, that boy honestly doesn't deserve her if he's gonna leave her for the wolves like that. The best thing they could do is move to a more open-minded town or school where people don't care if you're a heterosexual or not.
So if sexuality doesn't matter, what about paedophiles? Surely that is a sexual orientation someone is born with (I checked, and it is). Even if paedophilic relationships will never be allowed, do you think the hate will ever dissipate towards them and the way they feel? The quote you always hear from those supporting gay marraige etc is "why should you hate someone based on who they love. People should be able to love who they want". Funny how all the enlightened liberals disappear when faced with this question.
Oh, honey. Really, you should get a reality check. People hate pedophiles because they hurt children. People hate homosexuals because it's supposedly against their religion or it's "unnatural." See the difference?
In pedophila, it is one adult, responsible for their actions, and a minor, who isn't fully devolved, mentally. In homosexuality, two adults, out of their own free will, choose to love each other.
This video is such BULLSHIT. First of all faggots can't reproduce with one another. Second of all marriage IS defined by a MAN and a WOMAN. Third, the funny thing about this video is that the normal people and the queers act the exact same when in reality there's normal people being their own gender while boy fags buy lipstick and wear fake nails while wearing a pair of stilletos and the girl fags act like men and act like they're so tough when in reality they're the weakest people in the world. Also isn'i it funny how ONLY humans are factors. What about animals? Last I checked dogs are straight and aren't quests. God people. Shut up about this gay love nonsense.
First of all if you saw it right, there's a mating season. Second: you seem to have pretty huge prejudices. I know some lesbians and they don't behave like a man or tough or something. They behave as any other woman. The same goes for gays. Not every gay is crossdressing. That are mably Transvestites and they don't even have to be gay. And last but not least, there are even animals living a gay lifestyle. Oh and the part about the marriage is just ignorant.
You didn't even TRY to make a convincing argument, did you? Most of that was just idiotic nonsense. At least other people I've debated with have said something coherent and at least somewhat intelligence (albeit, usually ignorant) to support their argument. That . . . that was just moronic rambling.
Anyways, everything happiness said is right. There's a mating season, the stereotype that gay men act girly and that lesbians are mannish is just that, a stereotype; not all homosexuals cross-dress. Some people cross-dress and they're not even gay/lesbian. There are plenty of animals who are homosexual (or, at least, they engage in homosexual activities). While that is the technical definiton of marriage, plenty of people are working to change that because it's an incredibly ignorant definition. Homosexuals, bisexuals, etc. can (or should be able to) get married too.
I'm glad I satisfied your expectations. After all, kicking lame arguments to hell is kinda my thing. ;) Thanks for the thumbs-up, too. I gave you a thumbs-up on your ignorance comment, that was pretty much perfect.
And, lucky for me, I can stop myself. Unless I get really heated and angry and then I'm just kinda ranting and babbling incessantly (happened in class the other day). But I enjoy being the one looked to as the rescuer and defender for homosexuals against homophobes. A very respectable title, in my opinion.
thats like asking why are there other races? just shut the fuck up already. isn't there some kind of hate forum you can post your ignorant-ass comments on?
Actually, the reason there's other races is simply because of evolution. People in Africa have flatter, broader noses because the climate is hotter and they have dark skin because it would protect the people from getting a sunburn. Then, when people progressed north from Africa, they evolved and changed to adapt with the climate there. As for the purpose of different races, as far as I'm concerned, there's no real purpose to anything (after all, we are a mere speck in the universe).
Anyways, not all animals/plants reproduce through sexual reproduction. Spores on plants, for example. Besides, plenty of animals are homosexuals (or they at least engage in homosexual activities).
Honestly, your arguments are tedious and futile and it's all been said before and, further more, you're hardly supporting yourself with any real argument which is causing me to override your defense easily. If you're going to be an ignorant jerk, at least try to be intelligent.
"Homosexuality" is normal, because it occurs in nature, you know, NATURALLY. Maybe if you educated yourself instead of spending your time spewing backwards-thinking hate speech, you'd know more about that.
Also, because it pertains to you...
