Friend had a Rottweiler who ate with the family. Insisted on saying grace too. Crossed its paws on the table and would bow its head and go "ROWROWROWROWROWWOOF." They have no idea where it learned that.

A lot of domestic animals think they're humans so perhaps this is just a further progression of that.
