Evolutionarily speaking, one alpha male "serviced" multiple women. Women have therefore evolved to be attracted to the same men as other women, meaning that some men get none; making men technically disposable. In conclusion, the idea that there are enough girls to go around is statistically correct, but in reality, totally false. Also men find it much harder, if not impossible, to become attracted to a girl they don't find physically attractive. Therefore physical attraction trumps availability; as a result people will always be attracted to people that they can't necessarily have.

And you are more than your hormones. Entropy is a constant in the universe, physical appearance WILL fade. Why not save yourself the trouble and focus on finding someone who makes you laugh and will hold you when you hurt?

Yeah okay guest that a pretty good argument but the counter is that at some time in our species' history women started going for non-alpha males and men started investing far more in their children, rather than investing in getting a bunch of sex, like elk. We've evolved passed tournament style mating. Yes while nature is a tinkerer not an inventor and those instincts still hold sway, we have new instincts, and we are more than just our instincts. Also being attracted to someone's personality changes how attracted we are to those people physically .

Ehm? This also includes for men. Men choose "pretty make-up girls" with fake boobs, fake ass, knows how to twerk, nice legs and (not normal) super skinny over real girls who have some curves. But no, men rather have Kim Kardashian by their side. (Which i don't mind because i want to stay a virgin and alone for the rest of my life). So don't fucking discriminate women here, because men do the same thing. Oh and boo-hoo if you think i'm a feminist, which i'm not. I'm a sociopath. We all have our things.
