Another way to get splinters out is applying glue to the area of the splinter- waiting for it to dry, then peeling off the glue (me gusta). The splinter should come out attached to the glue.

In elementary school we used to put glue all over our palms and let it dry just because it was fun to peel it off.

Add a capful of vanilla to the water and your kitchen will smell good too.
