Must be a French Starbucks... or Vietnamese, or any in country in Southeast Asia, or Africa... It could even be in the U.S. (Dang, a disturbing number of people actually eat frogs)

"too nice?" 9 comments

Basically, if you think you're too nice, you're probably not nice to begin with. Instead, it might be that you're entitled and
self-righteous.

Froggo Fren #119 - Marsh Frog 2 comments

"Pelophylax ridibundus" - you can't stop the marsh of progress. Found throughout Europe and some parts of Asia, these frogs often find themselves swamped but they never let it bog them down. One of the larger frogs in their range, they're not known to be very picky about their habitat so long as it has water. They're also not picky about who they mate with, as they can produce hybrids with other species such as the pool frog and Perez's frog. (That's right, they don't let genetic differences mire their good time)

True, but they never specified who they protect and serve. (Though I think people have an idea or two)

Frogs in Fiction #33 - Grungs (Dungeons and Dragons) 3 comments
happy_frog · 4 years ago
A race inhabiting the Dungeons and Dragons alternate world of the Forgotten Realms, these diminutive frog-like humanoids may look cute, however they are anything but. Their alignment is Lawful Evil and their society reflects that. It is organized in color-based castes, with green grungs being the lowest, followed by blue, purple, red, orange and gold at the very top. They also have no qualms about enslaving other races and poisoning said races' food to keep them lethargic and complacent. (Perhaps the grungs are meant to be a form of commentary, what with the color-based social structure, the enslaving of other races, and the feeding them of poison to keep them down. But maybe I'm just reading too deep into it. After all, they're just fantasy creatures, and things like that couldn't happen in real life... anymore...)

Yeah, it's a real show. It began airing on Adult Swim in 2014 and it's got four seasons so far. Apparently, it's been well received.

I couldn't say. Sometimes untangling the thoughts of 4chaners is like trying to solve string theory.

"Nasikabatrachus sahyadrensis" - also called the pignose frog, or what a tortoise would like without a shell. Found only in the Western Ghats of India, these pudgy plum-colored guys were only formally discovered and described in 2003. Despite this, their tadpoles were studied as early as 1918. And they've been know to the local population for far longer than that. Sadly, they've also been harvested for food and traditional medicine for just as long. It's no wonder they spend most of their time underground, only emerging during the monsoon season to mate. (To be fair, mating is a pretty good incentive to expose oneself)
