"Smilisca phaeota" - also called the New Granada cross-banded tree frog. Found in South America, these highly adaptable tree climbers call a wide range of habitats their home, including urban and rural areas. Their coloration is primarily tan during the day, but changes to green at night. And yes, their eponymous mask helps them stay hidden from predators by shielding the frogs' eyes and thus making them harder to detect. (No need to worry though, they won't pick you off the street and cart you off in an unmarked van)
