I was gonna save @typow777 for the 777th entry, but I doubt I'll make that many. So they'll just have to settle for number 77.

In the name of the Moon, I will reminisce about this series!
*
Yet another anime introduced to be via the German dub (last one, I promise). And man, given the notoriously bad English dub, I could not be more grateful.
I remember my favorite Scout was Sailor Jupiter (though thunder is NOT lightning). She was tall, though, very pretty (ponytails are my weakness as it turns out) and constantly trained to better her fighting abilities. Despite that, she was also very feminine. Apparently her dream was just to settle down and raise a family.
As time went on, I also grew to like Sailor Mercury more and more. She was the brains of the outfit, but also very kind and sweet.
I used to think that Sailor Uranus (yes, ha ha, funny) was a boy who liked to crossdress. I remember thinking it was a bit odd but I went along with it. Sailor Uranus and Sailor Mercury's theme is still one of my favorites. And they're still one of the most popular anime couples ever...

After spending some time with an insect street gang, @zippytheroach rose to become the Dancing Cockroach we know today.

It's too much to hope for that you know who Gawr Gura is and that you are referencing her, isn't it?

Very much so. But I'd like to believe the "I'll be there for you" part is also true, at least as far as people on this site are concerned.

I'm not much for sitcoms but this really was such a nice little series. Kinda bland, but still managed to get some laughs outta me. And maybe that's why I remember it. It had a nice, cozy atmosphere that you wanted to return to.
Among the characters, Chandler was definitely the funniest. I wouldn't surprised if some of my sarcastic nature was influenced BY him.
I also really liked Phoebe's weird energy and how she always stayed positive despite her less than favorable circumstances growing up.
If they remade the series today, would it be called Frens?...

@stormlink15, not quite a Raidraptor, but a Staraptor is pretty close, I'd say.

Don't forget to check it twice. And remember who's naughty and who's nice.

Wow, I had no idea. Thanks for telling me. It seems to be a very important holiday, but you might be right in thinking it's too somber for this site. Then again, no one complains about Memorial Day posts.

Hey there, Funsub mamas. Wanna hang with a manly man?

It still surprises me that a lot of people didn't pick up that you AREN'T supposed to do what Johnny did if you wanna get girls. What's even more astounding is that sometimes his tactics do work IRL.
The show was a Cartoon Network original, and one of the best, at least in terms of comedy. In the first seasons, Johnny was a muscle head but they did try to make him sympathetic to some degree, and he wasn't a complete idiot. They had a bit more heart.
The last seasons really shifted the focus towards comedy, being faster paced with joke after joke. While those episodes were funnier, Johnny did take a dive in the intelligence department, going from clueless to outright moronic at times.
For some odd reason, this show never got rebooted. And I'm still waiting on the live action movie staring the Rock...

Yes, there should. Oh man, I posted this a while back, too. I'm a little sad (though not entirely surprised) to find that it was a repost.

They are called that, too. But both are accepted. Though I do understand if some people prefer one over the other.
