Oh? Seems like a house I'd like to join. If the king of the potato people will allow it, of course.

You know, given some of the comments I've been seeing lately, I bet someone will actually get offended by this.

Dear George, you claim to like Ted, but only do so when he wears the banana suit. Curious.

@mia_linay This is probably not the song you meant, but I feel like the theme is pretty similar.

Not yet, but I'll definitely check it out. For some reason, I thought it was about ducks.

Gratitude Journal Week 3 - Hometown 6 comments

Just a quick disclaimer: That's not MY hometown in the pic. Also, I'm not exactly grateful to be back (I would have much rather not had to have travelled 2000 miles, but it was necassary).
What I am thankful for however is the chance to see what's changed (and what hasn't) since I left. It's pretty interesting overall. What stuck out to me is that the trees I used to climb in the park I used to play in as a kid are gone. What's also gone is the old slide and monkey bars. It sucks 'cause it was on old-fashioned slide (about 20 feet tall, or 6 meters) and old timey monkey bars (like the ones they had in the 20s or 30s).
Another thing I'm glad about is that the landlords at the place I'm staying turned out to be really nice.
I won't drag this out too much. But I will say that it felt kinda surreal to walk around town after all this time. Like I was in dream, or like I didn't really belong there. You ever get that feeling?...

@snowbeast Well, I'm not the one who told to send it, am I? If anything, it's their fault for not understanding the sheer magnificence of it.
@purplepumkin I think I know the one you mean. Is it 'Welcome to Kitty City'? And yeah, there is something hypnotic about vids like these.

Froggo Fun #416/Special - Happy White Day! 2 comments
happy_frog · 3 years ago
No, it's not that. Get over yourselves. White Day is celebrated in Japan and other Asian countries on March 14th (a month after Valentine's). Its observance involves giving return gifts to those who gave you gifts on Valentine's Day. It started in the 30s but didn't really catch on until the 70s. Initially the gifts were indeed white (white chocolates, or accessories). But nowadays they needn't be.

Oh, thank you for the correction. I actually do appreciate it when fluent speakers take the time to do that. That's what I meant when I said I wanted to learn.
