I won't pretend like there hasn't been some...friction on this site in the past few months. But that makes the people who have stayed positive in the face of that even more special.
So I'll take this opportunity to thank everyone who's ever given me a kind/funny comment that really lifted my mood at the time. Because they are truly the ones that make coming back to and investing time in this site worth it.

Another nice thing that happened last week was that I finally found a place that sells the chocolate banana jellies I used to love as a kid. I thought they'd stopped making them, but there they were. And they're every bit as good as I remember.

Don't ask me how I know, but they do tend to be better. More stalls, more facilities, and they're cleaner and smell nicer. Of course, that does depend on how each building administers their bathrooms. And naturally, just because that's the tendency, it doesn't always mean that the people who use them will also leave them as they found them.
