Just who do you think you're talking to? I pride myself on spending an inordinate amount of time watching frog vids. Have you seen the Russian/gopnik version of that clip?

That's the cutest thing I've heard someone call those frogs so far.

Happy Twintail Day! 1 comments

It's not an official holiday, but otakus have been celebrating it on social media since around 2013 every year on February 2nd (2/2, get it? This year it's extra twinny since it's 2/2/'22.)
*
Twintails seem to be a very popular hair style in anime. (I still hold that ponytails are superior.) Sailor Moon is often credited with popularizing it, since she sports the dango (dumpling) twintails, and the trend took off shorty after the series ended in late '90s and early '00s.
*
The pic is from an anime fittingly enough called "Gonna be the Twin-Tail!!". (I haven't seen it, but it does seem to be an ecchi anime, so fair warning.)
*
Personally, when I think of twintail characters, Hiiragi Kagami from Lucky Star and Tohsaka Rin from the Fate franchise immediately spring to mind. (Interestingly, they're both tsunderes.)

Oh, hey @guest_. Welcome back. It'll be nice to have some novel-length comments that aren't propaganda. I'm afraid it's not the best time though, as certain users have been gripped by a bad case of the (free)dum.

Truly oppressive. But thankfully there's always the option of moving into one of those communities where science is an opinion.

What better way to start off the Month of Love than with the lovely @rosalinas. Yugioh loves its roses (there's literally a card called Rose Lover — https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Rose_Lover —) and this card, Rose Witch — https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Rose_Witch —, I feel captures both her pretty and her prickly side.
*
Mark of the Rose — https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Mark_of_the_Rose — is a real card, and its effect of taking control of an opponent's monster reflects @rosalinas's goal of hijacking posts, maybe. Rose Whip — https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Rose_Whip — exists, too, but is anime-only.

I don't know, but I can certainly wish you good luck for this year. One thing that might tip things in your favor are that it's specifically the year of the Black Water Tiger; black as in Yin (the feminine side) and, well, snow is made from water.

Chinese New Year or the Lunar New Year is celebrated not just in China but in other East Asian countries as well. Celebrations start on the day of the new moon which varies between January 21st and February 20th. This year it's February 1st.
*
The frog in the pic is a tiger-striped treefrog (Callimedusa tomopterna, or Phyllomedusa tomopterna). They're found in South America, not Asia, but I'm sure that doesn't stop them from celebrating.
*
An interesting tidbit is that there is an old Tibetan story called "The Tiger and the Frog". It's very short and it can be read in full here: https://sacompassion.net/the-tiger-and-the-frog/
*
Not sure what the moral is supposed to be. Maybe it's to use your wits, or maybe don't catch a tiger by his toe, but by his tail.

Ah yes, the "shitty personality" guy has something to contribute, and it would be deflection, no less. Someone should also inform him that it's rather difficult for people to be alone (as he wished on me) when others keep showing up.

It's been a few days, so of course the above would start something. Well, gotta give credit that he lasted this long. (He probably doesn't hear that often.)

@blazingfrags's name makes me think of an incendiary shrapnel bomb. Such a concept would be kinda hellish in real life, so a card like Chthonian Blast — https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Chthonian_Blast — feels like it more than delivers the payload. (I wonder if this post will blow up?)
