Son of a birch. It is a rather fitting rune for today (Spring Equinox).

It seems to be more of an informal holiday. Nonetheless, it has been observed since 2009. As you may guessed it aims to promote frog welfare, and to draw attention to the impotance of frogs. As enviromental indicators and in some places keystone species, frogs do indeed play an significant role. Plus, they help control the bug population, pretty nice with the warmer weather coming up.
There are other frog-related holidays such as National Frog Day in the US (October 21st) and Save the Frogs Day (April 30th). Also, April is National Frog Month in the US. (Don't worry though, I'll stick to making it the Month of Bamboozle on this site, as I always do.)
