Good news, everyone! The Doomsday Clock is currently set at 90 seconds to midnight.... Wait, that's not good news at all. It's the closest humanity's ever been to the apocalypse. While I don't think there's a nuclear holocaust coming, civilizational collapse is always on the table.

The pic used for this vid is called Destruction from the Course of Empire series of paintings done by Thomas Cole (ain't that poetic) between 1833 and 1836.
They were made during a time of great pessimism and tension in the US. While the country didn't fall, it did have its bloodiest conflict only a few decades after.

With all the bad clowns out there, it's important to remember that there were and still are good clowns. Those who not only dedicate their lives to putting smiles on people's faces but who hone that art to perfection.

This is of course hyperbole. I'm sure Parliament Hill didn't look like that. I understand however that there were bouncy castles.

And to think he would later also become a volleyball star with a 3.9 GPA. Lesser men can only dream of such achievements.

An album of calls of various frog species from Australia. When it debuted last year, it reached #3 on ARIA (Australia's main music chart) behind Paul Kelly and Taylor Swift.
I don't know who Paul Kelly is, but I feel the frogs should have at least surpassed Taylor Swift. Still, it is nonetheless a remarkable achievement.
