A Halloween staple for over 60 years now, the original song was written by Bobby "Boris" Pickett. The "mash" in question refers to the Mashed Potato, a dance craze popular in the same year as the song's release.
Though a parody song, it became popular quite quickly (it caught on in a flash, if you will) and people still play around the spooky season to this day. In fact, in 2021, it was listed on the Billboard Hot 100 music chart at number 37 (it's still a graveyard smash).

But now, not only are the former literally forcing men to go into women's bathroom, they're also punishing them for it.

So, when I first watched "Hey Arnold!" I had a hard time finding the Halloween episode, in English. All I could find for the longest time was the Russian dub, for some reason.

I feel like there may have been a grave misunderstanding.

I mean, adults *do* get playgrounds. They just gotta pay for those, too. And kids pay the "having to put up with adults' shortcomings" fee, which can often be very taxing.

It's kinda bucked up if you think about it.

So is that gonna be good or bad luck?
