The reason Mac is used for broadcasting, video editing, etc. is that the majority of people seen doing these things don't know what programs to get or how to use them for a PC, or they already owned a Mac. they don't work better, they work equal, PC's just have more configurations for each thing, so you can purpose build a PC to your liking, so if you want a beefy powerhouse, top end RAM, GPU, CPU is all available to you immediately. Whereas Apple has all their items prebuilt. In the end, it's up to you, whether you want customisation or something that suits your needs at the time.
