The metric system wasn't all good 3 comments

One second is 9,192,631,770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the caesium-133 atom. ... not base 10, but reasonably close to 10 billion. To make metric, one second would only have to be ~8.7% longer. Meaning a metric minute is ~ 54.73 seconds... unless we adjust it too.

Your children are tiktok fodder latent to ye old farmers sheep given unto the dragons in the hopes they get sick from eating too much wool and fly off to poop out one fluffy, brown, bowel cleansing blob. "Are you a dragon? Are you constipated? Eat 60 sheep..." (today... "... eat 25 tiktok dancers (surgeon general's warning: tiktok dancers may contain heavy metals from vaping, be low in nutrition due to depression, and cause bowel obstruction due to poor hydration)" ).

I, for one, welcome our galactic overlords and ask to be indoctrinated into their ranks. "Please take me off this planet, this prison sentence is unjust. I will LITERALLY volunteer to fight Ewoks. ... not Jabiim, not again."

Used to sleep walk when I was a kid. Woke up barefoot on the highway once a mile away, barefooted. Now, jam a piece of plywood under the doorknob (because locks didn't keep me locked in). Recently been dreaming about waking to find the plywood gone, nstead woke with hand on doorknob. The bad dreams too, fingers cut off left hand and scar healed over, covered in blood, obviously only a little is mine, a pack of wolves in my yard.. but bigger (like dire-wolves - 5 ft tall at ears) 20 or 30 of them, glowing yellow eyes.. I walk towards them and the cower away, run ... whimpering ... as if in fear. <- THAT was scary dream.

Fly to any city in Europe, pick any direction over land, start walking. 7 hours later, good chance you're in another country. Fly to Houston, Texas... ,walk 7 hours, still in Houston; rent a car, DRIVE for 8 hours going West... still in Texas.

Then there are the 10 % who ARE AR15 toting nut jobs... and we'll try to keep them in check as long as possible... but they're out her scoping in long arms at 1000 yards every weekend in 2 inch groupings. $200 in ammo to shoot steel targets every weekend with 11 different guns which they sell ($1800 each) to friends and friends of friends (if interested, I know a guy, 3 actually). Pay homeless guys for buckets of lead wheel weights to cast into bullets. Police our own brass. TEXAS is not a state to invade, it's a wannabe its own country again so make us a deal and we may stay out of your fight with California and new york.

90% of gun owners in Texas aren't AR15 toting nut jobs. They are farmers, ranchers and hunters. The former, have guns to keep what they have; the latter, to get what they need or want. All respect that fence... the property line. Trespass in the neighbors field, we'll got through the gate and hold gun on you until they or cops show up; because we have a key too.. and my field may be next. Roll up in a tank or APC, and we'll prove what Ukraine said, farm equipment is just civilian war machines. lest you forget, WE are the ones not only buying up army surplus, but building and training Army kids on it (Ft. Hood); THIS is our homeland... and we are rednecks.. You DO not know these people like I do. If thirty 20 year old Russian kids in uniform roll up with 50 Latin America conscripts... i have one of my guys on a dozer dig one long hole in a field. Because civilians don't abide Geneva Convention, and taking guns of dead Commies in my state, means free guns. In this economy... easy

Ooh, fire! Just fire in general, or any parts of fire: wood, cutting wood, splitting firewood, charcoal, smoking meat adjacent to fire.. cooking meat upon fire... fire fighting, fire making... fire...

I'm 43, doing $93k a year, and I'm out there PAVING the road of "Forever Alone" because I know so many of y'all are gonna follow me. Don't worry, gonna have lemonade & beef jerky stand about a mile down; right next to the strip mall: movie theater, pizza palace, 1980's video arcade, "Smoke U - BBQ", paintball urban war zone off the back lot...

How could someone... not know anyone of opposite gender? Do YOU know any men? Lots of men know only men and never associate with females.

So you're saying ancient Europe is now Latin America? To be blunt, yes, Mads made a cold Hannibal. But now it's like Dr Who. Every few seasons the lead role changes hands. Is there not ONE character, one role done so well by an actor that to see it reprised by another would feel like an insult? For me, William Adama (Battlestar Galactica) and Marlon Brando as Don Corleone, top the list; so say we all?
..and "stereotype" is a mean way of saying "I want a character to have a particular look to the detriment of anyone who doesn't look like them." Imagine Gomez Adams as a 6'6" red haired, pastel wearing, sweater tied around shouders, tennis pro with chiseled pecks ... and cargo shorts... in FLIP FLOPS.
If you're going to do a remake, make it new, different characters. Not the 300th Batman or 500th superman. Larry and Marley Addams, their kids Miley (the boy) and .. IDFK.. uhhh ... Paula. Make THAT show. Otherwise Donald Trump may one day play Gomez... and my little heart can't take it
