Ya? How's the situation with the trades down there lately? I haven't been paying to much attention. All I can say for up here is whenever our old pros (45 Y/O and up) retire we are going to be in a interesting situation, like $20 starting wages because these guys are what's keeping the industry from eating the shit.

If you never had to scrape the ice off the inside and outside of the windshield I don't even want to hear complaints. Some of us lost heat in the middle of a drive and I (the driver) had to stick my head out the window like a dog

I do not claim to be a history buff so correct me if I'm mistaken; it has always been my understanding that Englishmen from the sixteenth to eighteenth century did not leave their isle to migrate and adopt the culture of their new neighbors. They seemed to set out to conquer and colonize to expand their empire. (Because that's what all the cool kids did at that time) So by that standard this meme would be ironic only if whichever migrating culture where to start with trading with Englishmen, open up diverse ports of trade on the island and conquer with shot and lead with bayonets fixed.

I get people need help to get back on their feet but blaming the wealthy on being lucky/savvy/wise with their life choices and finances doesn't make them bad guys in this world because they get the occasional break to invest more and create more.
