Bonus fun fact: coffee came about in England in the mid-17th century. People realized it was safe to drink for them, unlike the polluted sewage/water at the time. So people switched from primarily drinking watered down wine and beer to primarily drinking coffee and tea. Europe went from drunk to sober/caffeinated and, magically at the same time, the scientific revolution happened.
