This was on a TV show a few years back and the cultures who didn't have a word for green literally couldn't tell the difference between swatches that were clearly (to English speakers) blue and green. They did however have lots of different words for various shades of red and could spot the odd one out from a selection of swatches when they all looked the same to English speakers.
And then a start to question the reason for my existence 1 comments

I think I read an article and she was quite a sweary person in real life, think her children made her have a swear jar in the house.

Most pharmacies are called a pharmacy on their signage but generally in conversation we'd say e.g. "I need to go to the chemists", we still call the pharmacist a pharmacist.

It only gets worse when you start working, try making gym classes social and have friends round for dinner for cheap socialising, obviously only if they're going to return the favour.

Google says it's someone's ability to cope with difficulties, is that the figurative use you meant or is that a third meaning as well?

What? We used to have Boy Scouts and Girl Guides, both single sex, now we have just 'Scouts' (no specification of sex) and Girl Guides, Scouts are mixed sex, Girl Guides are still single sex and even then I've heard reports of a few groups who have accepted transgender girls as well.

My dad used to have a leather jacket, work on machines so would have oil on his hands and smoke roll ups, he hasn't had the jacket in years, now works with computers and quit smoking ages ago but when I served someone at the shop I worked at they smelt exactly like my dad did years ago, he's a good dad so associated with pleasant memories.
