I went to a private school and it was no different. Some kid was calling me a dyke and a lesbian so I grabbed him by the neck, put the fear of god in him and he shut the hell up after that experience. Another kid threatened to stab me so I told the principle and said "If you won't deal with him, then I will". Ah, good times.
Same school where they made a kid cut his hair because thought it was the style Hitler wore and thought he was in a Hitler youth group. I wish I was kidding.
At my school all of the football players got mowhawks after winning a big game and the principal thought it "promoted gang mentality" so she made them shave them off. So we had a football team of skinheads instead.

This is a real problem, but one of the difficulties that teachers and administrators face is bullying outside of school.
Wally Wimp gets harassed online and such by the bullies, but the bullies show no signs whatsoever of bullying during school or on school grounds.
How far is a teacher allowed/supposed to go into their students' private lives?
Lol friend of mine was called racial slurs and got food thrown at her and the kid who did it got a "talking to" by the counciler but only after multiple other kids came foreward because he had done the same to them
Got bullied all the fucking time in high school at a private school, the administration told me I had no evidence even though multiple people came forward. The kids who bullied me were put into leadership like cheer captain and class president. I left the school
In elementary school there was this guy who slowly became super popular. he also hated me. so he bullied me all the time, and he got all his friends to do it. so basically everyone bullied me because
A: they wanted to be popular
B: they wanted him to think they were cool, which leads to A
C: they didn't want to be the target for not bullying me/standing up for me
D: They were bullied themselves (and even tho I stuck up for everyone else that got bullied) and so bullying me took the attention off them for a while and onto me
so whenever I went to a teacher about it, it was literally their word against mine. and even tho they secretly believed me, they couldn't fully punish them because then the kids go to the parents, and its literally them against me and they have to believe the majority. so they always got off with the minimal punishment, like a warning, or 2 laps at recess. it was horrible. I was a very depressed 5th grader. But I switched schools, leaving their asses behind.
And for the hundreds if not thousands of people who dont make it through the bullshit? The ones who kill themselves due to years of feeling worthless? Its not a rite of passage, its just cowards using their power to make someone else feel bad because it makes their dick hard
Don't downvote me you fucks, bullying is a serious issue and the best way to deal with it is for the bullied to learn how to deal with it. How to get help, how to fight back, how to integrate themselves within their own friend group, etc.
And don't tell bullies "stop bullying because it's not nice" because they won't listen. If they truly mean to be cruel, there's no stopping them. The only way to stop them is to bolster the victims in any way you can. And if it means telling the victim to push their bully down and kick them in the teeth, do it. If it stops the bullying do it. But it will never start with the bully, the victim must take the first step.
Did anyone ever stop to think that downvoting is a form of bullying? If you don't like something someone says, you downvote it, basically saying that you think their knowledge is inferior to yours.
I've got to agree. Bullies gonna bully. The wind will blow, fire will burn. They are a force of nature and they will find somebody to fck with. But we also are forces of nature, and there are ways to prepare for the shitstorm and to actually make it through it. And the reward is not only becoming stronger but that they usually stop and either move along to someone else or , they might even find other outlets for their pain and stop altogether, it is even possible to make new friends. Sometimes you still might lose. But either way you're not giving up on yourself.
Any power not freely given of respect is derived from harm or threat of harm either physical, mental, social, or economical; out of an individuals power or a large groups collective force. This is how all governments functioning earth. Made of equal parts the majority mob usually has their way against a minority regardless of who's on the side of "right." Our only case against bullying is who is allowed to impose what will, on whom, and what level or method of force is acceptable. It's a social food chain and to some an all you can eat buffet. A dog is a wolf that is tame. Teach the dogs to protect the sheep from the wolves, the farmer can't be there all the time, and not all sheep can protect themselves. Create a new generation that looks out for each other, there are no "adults" when you are grown, only peers. The world is a school without faculty ran by children.
