There are over 28k Starbucks (not including the stores that sell Starbucks drinks and also use the green iconic straws). Consider this. Most Starbucks average over 100 customers a day (I used to work at one, and was curious about averages and whatnot of customers and their orders). Approximately 45% of those customers order cold drinks that require the iconic green straws. Doing the math, that is approximately 1.2 million green straws used a day throughout the corporation. That is about 463 milli9n green straws a year. So I am fairly certain that there will be some form of positive impact on the environment.

We do celebrate Thanksgiving. When you live in a small town of less than 2500 people, you take what job you can find. Black Friday used to just be on Friday. Then people became needy and greedy, and stores started staying open on Thanksgiving Day instead of the day after.
Also. The movie prices don't change if they wait a day or two after a movie comes out. I have managed two theaters before. We allowed our employees that have kids to be home for the holidays. Standard retail stores do not.

So I gave up my first Thanksgiving with my daughter for people like you who wanna save a bit of money? That is great.

You can get those deals on Friday. Comporate America thinks it should also be on Thursdays at some places, so some of us don't get to spend time with their families on a holiday so people can save money on deals.

I am unsure of the other people in this world... But if I create something that I really love... And someone starts off with pointing out the flaws of what I created and wanted to do... I would instantly stop listening to them. Constructive criticism is great and all, but don't point out the flaws like that. Talk to the person, and discuss what was made. Perhaps some of those flaws are there on purpose.
