looks play a part but a lot of it is in personality. the reason men are treated differently is because we rarely get anything we don't look for. by that i mean we cannot rely on a girl to approach us. therefore the difference is a given. also society usually expects less emotionally from women

i like that they input a significant amount of comedy into supernatural cause without that that show would be dark as hell. imagine the same show on HBO. i imagine you would feel the horror more.

it amounts to the same thing in a professional environment there is a certain dress code for anyone to be taken seriously. this goes for both men and women. so yes if you want to be taken seriously it is better to reign in the cleavage.
