Basically, GPAs are Grade Point Average, normally measured in high school. A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0.
The SAT score is based on a difficult end-of-term test that scores you out of 1600 points. (I'm honestly not 100% certain myself how they make the numbers, but I assume that it's an average of how many questions they get right).
Both of these normally show colleges/universities how educated you are and how likely you are of getting in. (this person for example, probably won't be able to get into clown college without bribi- er, paying a large amount of cash)
