We submitted our comments at the same time, lol, sorry! I try to use heterosexual other than straight, personally, because I think it could imply that non-heterosexuals are "crooked," but that's just me.
Also with heterosexuals, they can have partners who are members of the community- bisexuals, pansexuals, intersex, and trans people can all end up with a hetero partner, which makes them more intimately involved in the community than most.

I identify as pansexual too- I haven't gotten a lot of the pan jokes, but people give me Peter Pan stuff all the time. Which from my friends is okay, but I could see jokes from the outside become tiring

Straight means heterosexual like gay/lesbian means homosexual- so hopefully that helps :-)

A pansexual is a person who is attracted to someone regardless of gender- they don't see gender as a factor in attraction. It's a little different then bisexuals, who are attracted to men and women, because there is a wider range of genders than just two- and pansexuals see them all as potential partners.

My school was a public one with comprehensive sex education, and my senior class had no pregnancies during it- either did the class below us. But my personal experience is not enough proof, you can look up the statistics and see that places with comprehensive sex education have statistical lower amounts of both unwanted pregnancy and the spread of STDS. That's incentive, keeping kids safe.

That's an interesting theory- I haven't heard that before. The idea that you are compelled to look at other people no matter what they wear or don't wear is an interesting idea.
I wonder why nudity and profanity are not banned on clothing, then? Why can I wear a shirt with photographs of breasts on them, but not no shirt? Or a shirt stating profanity that is ND17? As far as I know, legally, it is the observers job to look away in those cases. Why would nudity be different?

And Norwegian, I appreciate your points- I think a good take away is to look and see that basically rates of teenage sexual activity are the same everywhere, but what does fluctuate is the rates of STDS and unplanned pregnancies. Where comprehensive sex ed is taught in the USA, rates are significantly lower- and that should tell us all something.
