Ah, you inspire me to go find the Daily Show link! I agree, some people take racial jokes to offensive and bigoted places- because that is the ideology they come from, and that is the people they still appeal to, right? But jokes about race that are clever and thought provoking do the opposite- they threaten and undermine the bigoted attitudes and ideals that racism comes from while still being both clever and funny.

They could mean the LGBTQI person could go home if their family tried harder to be loving and accepting, like what a family should be- and the fact that any family feels that their love is revoked based on someone's gender/sexual identity is bullshit. That's how I see it.

Sorry I'm late to this (time zones are tricky) but I just want to be clear that this is my post, and a lot of the "gay" posts are from me, being that I am a non heterosexual woman and find it okay to talk about. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of posts on here talking about men/women couples, or jokes with heterosexuals in them- I don't feel bad for taking about 0.02% of that space to talk about LQBTQI related things, and Song shouldn't either.

So don't put all the weight on Song. If people are uncomfortable using homosexual slurs, I think that is a fantastic thing personally- but I think we need to look around and notice that all strong opinions here get equally strong feedback, not just conservative ones. Everyone has the chance of getting downvoted- it just depends on who is watching.

I actually collect halves of best friend necklaces I find at thrift stores, antique malls, and other places. I like that there is a story attached to the piece- I made a charm bracelet out of a bunch of them too.

Um, I think those "bagels" that you are referring to should only be sold in certain states- you know, traditional states with good values just aren't ready for the whole concept of bagels, and Lord forbid doughnuts!! If you all think the gender swapping here is funny- you will like this website, the Hawkeye Initiative. They take women from superhero comics that are dressed in less than realistic costumes (or less than clothing at all lol) and swap the woman for Hawkeye from the Avengers.
