Dude, I wasn't belittling a fear of rejection and abandonment, Pretty sure the majority of society harbors those fears. Chill

So then, you're not so much afraid of commitment as you are afraid of abandonment and rejection.

I have two little dogs and they're awesome. Plus their poop is much smaller, which makes picking up after them way easier.

I love my job, but it's emotionally taxing and vacations are not for escaping, but for relaxing. I wouldn't want to do either one 100% of the time.

Yep. It's part of being in a healthy, mature relationship. Any kind of relationship.

A lot of what pop culture depicts as love is actually extreme dysfunction, boundary issues, and borderline-abusive behavior. We are trained to believe that if there is no drama (pain), it's not really love, so we go searching for passion and excitement, and when its destructive nature crushes the relationship, we start over. Rinse repeat. It's actually possible to have a mutually supportive relationship wherein two people love one another and the pain between them is pretty minimal and rare.
