In my opinion, beating children is wrong. If a child misbehaves, it's almost always the parent's fault. If kids aren't disciplined, they pick up bad habits. How is it their fault? Besides, a spanking can easily turn into a lot more. Personally, my father began with simple spankings, and whenever that didn't work, he'd straight up hit me. This isn't always the case, but there IS a reason that spanking is looked down upon.

You can soak a paper towel in vegetable oil, and leave it on the sticky residue overnight. Or, you can buy Goo Gone, which is a product made for removing said residue.
