It's not bad. It's only unfunny to us because we have seen the birth, rise, and fall of that joke, along with all of it's variations.

I mean, if you're in the same extreme SJW circles on tumblr and reddit that I am, they are VERY accepting of fat, thin, and short men. It's just the mainstream- the people who want to profit- aren't that accepting.

It's shocking how little people know of it, too. But as I was helping my sister with her history homework, the textbook had a part in the glossary about the "interventions" done by the U.S.

There's literally a side of this planet that's just the Pacific 6 comments

And it's horrifying. Point Nemo, also know as the oceanic pole of inaccessibility, is the place in the ocean that is farthest from land. It lies in the South Pacific Ocean, 2,688 km (1,670 mi) from the nearest lands: Ducie Island (part of the Pitcairn Islands) in the north, Motu Nui (part of the Easter Islands) in the northeast, and Maher Island (near the larger Siple Island, off the coast of Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica) in the south.
The area is so remote that sometimes the closest human beings are astronauts aboard the International Space Station when it passes overhead. It's also used for depositing decommissioned spacecraft because there is less of a risk of hitting someone.

They should bring water and if it's winter/fall, chapstick. But yeah, it's a bit chaotic. Get a bag so you don't have to transfer things pocket to pocket to pocket all the time. Stuff is right there where you can grab it quickly instead of rushing around locating shit.

Surface of a strawberry 1 comments

Fun fact- the "seeds" are the true fruit of the strawberry. Strawberries are pseudocarps, or "accessory fruits". Fruit is defined as being the flesh derived from the ovary, and it's job is to disperse and protect the seeds. The flesh of the strawberry simply bears the ovaries. These small true fruits are the achenes, which usually contain just one seed.

That's exactly it. Choosing to be apolitical is like choosing to stand idle and watch as someone gets jumped.
It's a joke, it's a joke, it's a joke- until it's not. Now there's plausible deniability when posting propaganda. "It was just a joke, I don't actually want to kill trans people" Jokes that punch down do damage. It's not gallows humor if the audience of the execution are the ones cracking jokes.
Every time I log on here I feel like I have to debunk some false headline posted, or provide valuable context. People say I'm being too serious, but I can't just watch the spread of false information that often has malicious intent.

Are you a fool? Is that what you are? A fool? Did you expect them to drive? Boat? There, they will make decisions that govern millions if not billions. If, For Example, we were to make laws stopping companies from knowingly putting harmful chemicals into their products, the impact would be huge. Larger than 151 people flying somewhere. Do you think they went to that meeting to ask us to turn lights off when we are not in the room? No, they went to agree to making laws that will make the world a better place.

I read it, good work. Maybe you should go to reddit, where you will be appreciated. I don't spend as much time here anymore because time here can be time wasted. It hurts to see the transphobic posts that are always posted.

I like to imagine that they had soft, trilling voices with which they used to comfort one another. I don't have any evidence, it's just a nice thought.

Yeah, yikes. Parents must give their kids some degree of privacy. If you're worried about them, you might want to keep a closer eye, but if your kid has given you no reason to distrust their judgement, don't stalk their every move. My poor friend's father does not allow her internet access, tracks her location, her text conversations, when she opens the phone, and what her camera sees. You'd think she was on suicide watch. Her crime? Reading slightly spicy fanfiction. She's 17. No doubt she will have issues- she's far too sheltered, I had to give her "the talk" and I'm younger than her.
